The Opportunities, Rewards and Challenges of Pro Bono Work for In House Attorneys
Join the Harvard Law School In House Counsel
Network for a discussion of the opportunities, rewards and challenges of
pro bono work for in house attorneys. Panelists will discuss topics
such as finding pro bono choices that are right for
you, overcoming common challenges that prevent in house attorneys from
becoming involved and building and growing a pro bono program at your
company. You’ll leave convinced that pro bono isn’t just for law firm
attorneys and inspired to build a rewarding
pro bono practice for yourself and others in your department. Hewlett
Packard will sponsor a reception after the panel discussion.
Panelists:
- Andrea Fitanides, Supervising Attorney of the
Volunteer Legal Services Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco
(VLSP)’s Community Organization Representation Project (CORP) and the
VLSP Pro Bono Manager.
- Bruce Ives, Vice-President and Deputy General Counsel at Hewlett-Packard
- Emily Su-lan Reber Porter, General Counsel and Vice President of Customer and Professional Operations at
Pearl.com LLC
- Todd Murtha, Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at Wize Commerce, Inc.
